Five years ago, I met up with Evan Shinners to capture his recording process. He's a pianist and composer, sometimes known as WTF Bach, and on this night, I was witness to his very solitary creative process.
Revisiting this series now, I love the simplicity of it. Just one man and a piano, this instrument he knows so well, the pages of music he must have poured over. The moments of focus and intensity, alternating with moments of pause, restoration, frustration. All part of the process.
